M. DUKE HOLMES
YOUNGSVILLE - Maryland Duke Holmes, 51, died Sunday, June 11, 2006 at Nash General Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 13, at Youngsville Baptist Church, with the Rev. Charles Stratton officiating.

He was born in Franklin County. Mr. Holmes was a lineman with Wake Electric and a farmer.

Surviving: his mother, Betty Jean Holmes of Youngsville; sister, Robin Hart (Mike) of Youngsville; and one nephew.

He was preceded in death by his father, Maryland Macon Holmes.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Youngsville Baptist Church Building Fund, P. O. Box 297, Youngsville, NC 27596, or to the Masonic Home for Children, 600 College Street, Oxford, NC 27565.
