RUTH M. WAIDEN
FRANKLINTON - Ruth M. Waiden, 89, died Wednesday morning, Aug. 6, 2008. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today (Saturday, Aug. 9) at Franklinton Baptist Church, with her son, the Rev. Clyde L. Waiden Jr., and the Rev. David Averette presiding. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.

She was born in Franklin County to the late Felix and Bessie Edwards May. She was the retired owner of City Lunch Café and a long-time member of Franklinton Baptist Church.

Surviving: sons, Clyde L. Waiden Jr. (Sharon) of Franklinton and Gene Waiden (Linda) of Youngsville; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde L. Waiden Sr., and her daughter, Olivia Fay Timberlake.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Franklinton Baptist Church, 102 W. Mason Street, Franklinton, NC 27525 or to the S.P.C.A. of Wake County, 200 Petfinder Lane, Raleigh, NC 27603.
