RUPERT M. HICKS
ZEBULON - Rupert McDonald Hicks, 76, died Thursday morning, Aug. 28, 2008, at WakeMed. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. today (Saturday, Aug. 30) at Union Hope Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Murray cemetery.

He was born in Richmond, Va. He served in the U.S. Navy and worked for many years at P&W Auto Parts in Zebulon.

Surviving: his wife, Ada Wrenn Hicks; son, Tony Hicks (Dawn) of Zebulon; sisters, Tana Hogue of Goochland, Va., and Mona Haymans of Midlothian, Va.; special adopted family and numerous nieces and nephews.

Arrangements handled by Strickland Funeral Home, Wendell.
