LOUISBURG - Funeral services for Mr. James “Doc” Manley, 79, who died Monday, July 17, 2006, were conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, July 21, in the Richardson Funeral Home Chapel in Louisburg, with the Rev. James E. Manley Jr. officiating. Burial followed in the Cedar Street Cemetery.

Surviving: wife, Virgina T. Manley; daughter, Mamie Wilkins of Avenel, N.J.; sons, James E. Manley Jr., George Manley, both of Louisburg, and Jesse Manley of Plainfield, N.J.; sisters, Mary Howard of Springfield, N.J., Dorothy Pugh of Durham, and Lena Beverly of Jersey City, N.J.; brother, Jimmie Manley of Durham; six grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
