GREENSBORO - Sara Gray Duncan, 91, formerly of Louisburg, died Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at Pennybyrn at Maryfield in High Point. Funeral services were Friday, May 8, at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel in Greensboro. A graveside service was conducted at 3 p.m. Friday at Oakwood Cemetery in Louisburg.

She was born in Guilford County, the daughter of the late Jarvis F. and Eula Roberta Hodgin Gray. She spent her working career as a teacher in the Franklin County school system.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Virgil E. Duncan; siblings, J. Hilton Gray, Porter J. Gray, Wilson H. Gray, Eula G. Owens and Mary G. Vaughan.

Surviving: herbrother, James L. Gary of Siler City; and several nieces and nephews.
