STATESVILLE - Janis Mary McManus Ernst, 53, formerly of Louisburg, died Tuesday, July 14, 2009, at Iredell Memorial Hospital. A service of remembrance celebrating her life will be held at 2 p.m. today (Saturday, July 18) in the Westmoreland Chapel of Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home.

She was born in Delaware County, Pa., and was the daughter of the late John Paul and Caroline Eileen Garis Ernst.  She was a homemaker.

Surviving: five children, Joseph “Joe” Ernst (Kerry) of Huntersville, Lori Marie Carey (Peter) of Mooresville, Frederick Edward “Eddie” Ernst of Alexandria, Va., Charissa “Chrissy” Link of Raleigh, and Caroline “Carrie” Johnston (Christopher) of Louisburg; and eight grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service.
