GARNER - Joyce James Tyson, 75, died Saturday, July 25, 2009. Funeral services were conducted Sunday, July 26, in the Wilkerson Funeral Chapel in Greenville. Burial followed in Pinewood Memorial Park.

She was a native of the Stokes community of Pitt County.

Surviving: sons, Mitchell F. Tyson of Swansboro and Mickey F. Tyson (Kaye) of Garner; daughters, Becky T. Jackson (Dail) of Chocowinity, Kathleen T. Haithcock (Michael) of Youngsville, and Susie T. Clark (Harold) of Clayton; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson; brothers, Joseph James of Denver, Colo., Calvin James of Williamston, and Bobby James of Murfreesboro, Ark.; and one sister, Linda J. Barrows of Greenville.
