LOUISBURG – Doris Lamb Phelps, 79, died Tuesday morning, Sept. 1, 2009. Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Oakwood Cemetery with Rev. Jay Tilley officiating.

She was the daughter of the late Fred Oneal and Mable Cash Lamb and was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Glenn Phelps.

Surviving: son, Wayne (Mary) Phelps; daughters, Pam (Joe) Ransdell, Brenda (Dean) Edmonds, Tammy Phelps and Tim Moore, all of Louisburg; brother, Fred Lamb of Arlington, Va.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends 7 - 8:30 p.m. Thursday. Sept. 3, at Strickland Funeral Home, 103 W. Franklin St., Louisburg.
