RALEIGH - Elsie Gupton Barrow, 87, died Tuesday, Sept. 22.

She spent many years as a secretary with NCSU and with the General Administration  of the UNC System in Chapel Hill.

In addition to her parents, Roger and Lily Gupton, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Howard Barrow and two sisters.

Surviving: sons, Rodger Barrow (Deborah) of Zebulon and  Wayne Barrow (Linda) of Milford, N.H.; daughter, Susan Nadel (Doug) of Apex; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

Graveside services were Friday, Sept. 25 at 2 p.m. at Raleigh Memorial Park.
