WAKE FOREST - Donald  C. Harris, 65, died Saturday, Oct. 24,  2009 at his residence.

Born July 9, 1944 to Novella Harris and the late Joseph A. Harris in Franklin County, he was predeceased by his wife, the late Mary Joyce Harris.

He was a member of Old Phelps Baptist Church in Youngsville. He was a graduate of Lockhart High School in Knightdale. He was a master auto mechanic.

The funeral service will be today (Wednesday, Oct. 28), at 2 p.m. at Old Phelps Baptist Church in Youngsville with pastor Elvis Harris, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Surviving: mother, Novella Harris of Wake Forest; daughter, Debbie Mangum, of Raleigh; sisters, Joesphine Russell (Donzelle) of Raleigh and Marvine  Harris of Wake Forest; brother, Marvine Harris (Evangeline) of Wendell.
