LOUSBURG - Berta Mae Foster Moore, 86, died Friday at home.

She was born in Franklin County to the late John Luther Foster and Mattie Murphy Foster.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Meta A. “Buck” Moore. 

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday.

Burial followed in Woodlawn Memorial Park in Durham.

She is survived by one son, J. A. Moore of Durham; four sisters, Rachel Denton of Durham, Lucy Denton and Lois King, both of Louisburg and Linda Rich of Castalia; two brothers, Wilton Foster of Durham and Billy Foster (Faye) of Louisburg; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and cousins.
