ZEBULON - Lillian Eatman Hunter, 85, died Thursday, Jan. 7, 2010. Funeral services were conducted Sunday, Jan. 10, at Strickland Funeral Home chapel. Burial was in Gethsemane Memorial Gardens.

She was born in Johnston County, daughter of the late Everette A. and Polly Ward Eatman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob H. Hunter Jr., and brothers, Bill and M.D. Eatman.

Surviving: daughter, Ellen H. Hagwood (Howard) of Turkey; son, Jeff A. Hunter (Nell) of Wendell; sisters, Ida Mae Oakley and Evelyn Allen, both of Zebulon, and Swanora Bailey of Waynesville; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
