LOUISBURG – Claudette Cranford Edwards, 69, of Louisburg, died Friday morning, July 16, 2010. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 18, in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home in Louisburg, with the Rev. Tony Peed officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

She was a daughter of the late Howard Claude and Magdelene Blake Cranford. She retired from Franklin Memorial Hospital as office manager.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Sue Southerland and Jo Wester.

Surviving: husband, Owen R. Edwards; several nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews.

The family insists, in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.
