AHOSKIE - Audrey Lassiter Lewter, 82, died Saturday, July 31, 2010 at Pitt Memorial Hospital. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. today (Wednesday, Aug. 4) at Second Baptist Union Church, with Pastor M. Bryon Pierce officiating. Burial will follow in the Lewter family cemetery.

Surviving: husband, Vernon C. Lewter; sons, Curtis M. Lewter of Jamaica, N.Y., Kenneth M. Lewter of Victor, N.Y., F. Gary Lewter (Margaret) of Ahoskie, and Arnold J. Lewter of Louisburg; sisters, Dana Askew and Patricia Poole, both of Ahoskie; brother, Carrington Lassiter of Ahoskie; and four grandchildren.
