LOUISBURG - Loyal Glen Smith, aka Uncle Bugs and Pappa Bunny, 71, of Louisburg died Friday, July 30, 2010, at Franklin Regional Medical Center.  A private family service will be held at a later date. 

He is survived by his wife, Irene Louise “Lucy” Smith; his son, Joseph Paul Smith  and wife, Karen of Cary; his daughter, Dedrie Lynn Smith of Wilmington; his brother, George Smith and wife, Donna; his sister, Mary Cambre and husband, Shelton; his niece, Sandy Mills of Clayton; his granddaughters, Avery and Olivia Smith; his granddogs, Hannah, Sophia, BooBoo and Toby; and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions be made to the Wake County SPCA, 200 Petfinder Lane, Raleigh, NC  27603 or to one’s favorite charity.
