LOUISBURG - Etta Theo Shillinger, 88, died Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2010, at her home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 13, at Corinth Baptist Church, with the Rev. Brent Farrar officiating. A graveside service will be held Saturday, Aug.  14, at 2 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hendersonville.

She is the daughter of the late Morris & Lola Jeans of Rocky Mount.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Henry “Hank” Shillinger; her children, Michael and Jimmy Pernell of Louisburg; her brother, Isaiah Jeans of Henderson and Braxton Jeans of Rocky Mount; her sister, Odell Cottrell Richards of Louisburg. 

Surviving: sisters, Daphine Carol Castelluzzo of Geneva, N.Y., Lola Clifford of Richmond, Va.; brother, Nelson Jeans of Rocky Mount; stepchildren, Ronnie Shillinger and Linda Cowell, both of California; and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Corinth Baptist Church Building Fund, 4583 NC Hwy 401, Louisburg, NC  27549.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Corinth Baptist Church and at all other times at her home.
