ZEBULON - Bishop Robert A. O’Neal Sr., 80, died Saturday, Aug. 14, 2010. Funeral will be at noon today (Wednesday, Aug. 18) at Hales Chapel Baptist Church, Zebulon. Interment will be in the O’Neal-Whitley cemetery.

Surviving: wife, Pastor Essie O’Neal; daughters, Belinda Hocutt (Clyde) of Zebulon, Eva Coley (Douglas) of Clayton, Caroline Covington (Larry) of Graham, Michelle O’Neal (David) of Knightdale Shawana Emehel (Clement) of Burlington; sons, Robert A. O’Neal Jr. (Deborah) of Zebulon, Barry O’Neal (Maria) of Chesapeake, Va.; stepson, John Andrews (Michelle) of Phoenix, Ariz.; sisters, Katie Lee Jeffreys of Zebulon, Rochelle High (Donnie) of Middlesex and Marie Burgess (Joshua) of Raleigh; brother, Jasper O’Neal (Azzie) of Zebulon; 16 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
