ZEBULON - Robert Doyle, 86, died Thursday, Aug. 19, 2010. A memorial service was held Tuesday, Aug. 24, at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service chapel in Knightdale, with the Rev. Mark Cottrell officiating.

He was born in Wake County to the late Grady H. Doyle and Adna Medlin Doyle. He served his country in the U. S. Navy and for 35 years owned and operated Doyle Plumbing and Electrical.

Surviving: daughter, Elaine D. Rose (Charles) of Rocky Mount; two grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Marie Doan Doyle; brother, Grady B. Doyle; sisters, Lyndell D. Brosious, Rochelle D. Gay and Elsie D. Ennis.
