LOUISBURG - Funeral services for Stan Alston, 86, who died Friday, Sept. 15, 2006, will be conducted at 1 p.m. today (Wednesday, Sept. 20) at St. Stevens Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Surviving: daughters, Mattie A. Stokes of the home and Sandy Fields of Henderson; sons, Richard Alston of Louisburg, Stan Alston Jr. of Norfolk, Va., Laverne Alston, Monroe Alston and Randy Alston, all of Henderson; sisters, Betty Williams of Louisburg, Cora Perry and Mary Davis, both of Warrenton; Anthony Alston of Louisburg, Eugene Alston of Richmond, Va., and Ernest Alston of Washington, D.C.; 22 grandchildren; and 24 great grandchildren.
