LOUISBURG – Laura Horton Perry, 70, of the New Hope Community, died Wednesday morning, Aug. 25, 2010, at her home. Funeral services were held Friday, Aug. 27,  at  the Strickland Funeral Home Chapel, Wendell.  Burial followed in the New Hope Christian Church cemetery.

She retired from the NC Department of Corrections.   She was preceded in death by her father, Willie Horton Sr.

Surviving: mother, Vivian A. Horton of Bunn; sisters and brothers, Kannie Perry, Jewel Mullen, Willie Horton, Jr. (Pete)  of Bunn, Faye Cash of Louisburg, Milton Horton of Spring Hope, Freddie Horton and Barbara Massey of Zebulon.
