RALEIGH - Carol Medlin Hardee, 69, died Monday, Sept. 13, 2010 in Raleigh. A celebration of her life was held Friday, Sept. 17, at Inwood Baptist Church. Burial followed in the chuch cemetery.

She was born to Larkin and Alleen Medlin in Raleigh. She received her music diploma from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Surviving, in addition to her mother, are: husband, James A. Hardee of Raleigh; daughters, Jan Permenter Lattier (Richard) of Raleigh, June Permenter Young (Jay) of Garner, and Terri Permenter Rogers (Gary) of New Market, Tenn.; brother, Tommy Medlin (Carolyn) of Youngsville; sister, Peggy Medlin Horne (Rick) of Lookout Mountain, Tenn.;  four granddaughters and five grandsons; and eight great-grandchildren.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Guy and Lillie Aman; and sisters, Barbara Montague and Marilyn Wadford.

Memorial donations may be made to Inwood Baptist Church; Mission to Haiti; Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary Fund; or Hospice of Wake County.
