BEANIE LEONARD BURNETTE


LOUISBURG - Beanie Leonard “Beanie Bell” Burnette, of Louisburg, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 18, 2010. She was born on December 12, 1919 to Rufus and Dolly Leonard in the White Level community.

Beanie Bell lived her entire life in Franklin County serving a Living God while working as a business owner and private home caregiver. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Glinwood B. Burnette; her daughter; Sandra B. Tharrington; sisters, Hilda V. Leonard and Corrine L. Thorne; brothers, Burnell Leonard, Hubert Leonard, George Leonard and Bruce Leonard.

She is survived by two sisters, Falton L. “Punk” Jones of Louisburg and Beatrice L. Milton of Richmond, Virginia; a brother, Rufus D. “R.D.” Leonard of the White Level community; son-in-law, Wayne Tharrington of Louisburg; two grandchildren; Scott Tharrington and his wife Christy Tharrington of Louisburg and their children, Alicia Tharrington and Joshua White; and Shane Tharrington and his fiancĂ© Jennifer Holloway of Raleigh and their children, Courtney Holloway, Aaron Holloway, Jonathan Holloway, Chase Tharrington and Kathryn Holloway.

Visitation was at Grace Baptist Church on Highway 561 in Louisburg on Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. with services immediately following, with the Reverend Wes Bailey presiding. Burial followed at Saint’s Delight Baptist Church in the Edward Best community.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Grace Baptist Church or to the Franklin County Relay for Life.
