ZEBULON - Virginia Lois “Douglas” Johnson, 77, died Sept. 22, 2010. She was a native of Johnston County and was daughter to the late Jim and Rena Medlin Douglas. She was retired from Devil Dog.

Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. today (Saturday, Sept. 25, 2010) at the  Strickland Funeral Home Chapel, 211 W. Third St., Wendell, with visitation from 2 - 4 p.m. prior to the service, and other times at the home.

Surviving: sons, Mathew Johnson  (Connie) of Manassas, Va., Michael Johnson  (Wanda) of Goldsboro, and Johnnie Johnson (Vicky) of Virginia Beach, Va.; daughters, Cheryl Senter of Wendell, Cynthia Johnson of Zebulon, and Dottie Garris  (Earl) of Zebulon, 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband,  Alvin Truett Johnson and sons, Michael Jay Johnson and James “Jimmy” Johnson.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to Wake County SPCA.
