SAN DIEGO, CALIF. - Vickie R. Thornton, 61, died Sept. 20, 2010, after a battle with breast cancer. She was a native of San Diego, Calif. and a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Thornton.

She was predeceased by a sister, Sharon Jojola.

Surviving: sisters, Gale Thornton of Phoenix, Ariz. and Connie Cicchinelli of Youngsville; several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Wake County, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607.
