FRANKLINTON – Sue Lee Cox Gilliam, 80, of Franklinton, died Monday afternoon.

Sue was a daughter of the late James Avery and Oza Lee Cooke Cox. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Gilliam, and her sister, Ann C. Hadlock. Sue was a member of Franklinton United Methodist Church.

A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 7, at Fairview Cemetery in Franklinton, with the Rev. Daniel Jenks officiating.

Sue is survived by her brother, William A. “Bill” Cox of Raleigh, and sister, Jane C. Gordon of Monroe; many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Louisburg Nursing Center Staff for their many years of kindness and loving care Sue received.
