LOUISBURG – Charlie Perry Moore, 77, of Louisburg, died Tuesday evening at his home.

Charlie was a son of the late Roy Thomas and Lessie Harris Moore.

Funeral service was at 2 p.m. Friday at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, with the Rev. Don McGinnis officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery. The family received friends immediately following the service.

Charlie is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Bertha S. Phelps Moore; stepsons, Johnny Phelps (Mary Helen), Charles Phelps (Sheila), all of Louisburg; brother, Harold Moore (Polly) of Dunn; special niece, Michelle Kirkland (Chris) of Charlotte; 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 great-nieces.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 111 Laurel Mill Rd., Louisburg, NC 27549.
