LOUISBURG – Nellie Leonard Wheeler, 91, of Louisburg, died Wednesday evening at her home.

Mrs. Wheeler was a daughter of the late Augustus and Annie Browning Leonard. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ruffin H. Wheeler; her daughter, Kaye Perry; 5 sisters and 5 brothers.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.

Mrs. Wheeler is survived by her daughters, Verna Orders of Spartanburg, SC, Martha Cooke of Louisburg; sons and daughters-in-law, Howard and Jane Wheeler of Louisburg, Ronnie and Hilda Wheeler of Spring Hope; special family members, Pat and Rudy Perry; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Cypress Chapel Baptist Church, 4236 Seven Paths Rd., Spring Hope, NC 27882.

The family received friends 7 – 8 p.m. Friday at Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory in Louisburg.
