CENTERVILLE - Florence Tharrington Radford, 91, of Centerville, died Sunday, October 31, 2010, at Wake Medical Center.  She was a member of Centerville Baptist Church and loved to sew and cook for her family and friends, and when she was younger she loved to strip tobacco.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie G. Radford, and her grandson, Benjamin G. Radford, Jr.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Centerville Baptist Church, with the Rev. Keith Campbell officiating.  Burial followed in the church cemetery.

She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Lunsford of Centerville; her son, B.G. Radford and wife Edna of Centerville; her sister, Bennie Mae Wagner of Lexington; her brother, Malvin Tharrington of Raleigh; her grandchildren, Kim Wester Lee, Christy Lunsford and Reneé Shearin; and four great-grandchildren.

Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to Centerville Baptist Church, 2370 Leonard Road, Louisburg, NC  27549.
