RALEIGH - Alma Ruth Johnson Shaffer, 86, died Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2010 at Springmoor Life Care Retirement Community. A memorial service was held Tuesday, Nov. 16, at Springmoor.

She was born to Guy and Elizabeth Row Johnson.

Surviving: husband, Daryl Shaffer; daughters, Nancy Shaffer of Louisburg and Janet Shaffer of Ambler, Pa.; sister, Vivian Lund (Dwight) of Warrenville, Ill.; two grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Springmoor Endowment Fund.
