FRANKLINTON —Richard Allen Griffin, 74, died Friday, Nov. 20, 2010 at his residence. A memorial service was held Sunday afternoon, Nov. 21, in the chapel of Bright Funeral Home.

He was born in Forsyth County, the son of the late Addie Warren Griffin and Wilmer Allen Griffin. He was retired from MLB Construction and worked for many years at North Hills Construction.

Surviving: wife, Gay Griffin; son, Mike Griffin of Raleigh; brother, Larry Griffin of Lexington; sisters, Linda Bolen of Advance, Sandra Faye Lowry of Winston-Salem, Jeanie Huffman of Clemmons and Pam Royal of Lexington; and two grandchildren.

 He was preceded in death by his sister, Ann Slate.
