LOUISBURG – Rebecca “Becky” Summerlin Burnette, 77, of Louisburg, passed away Sunday morning after a long courageous battle with leukemia.

Becky was preceded in death by her husband, Keston B. Burnette; grandson, Chris Baker; 4 sisters and 2 brothers. She was a daughter of the late Leroy and Eliza McAdams Summerlin.

Funeral service was 2 p.m. Tuesday at Sandy Creek Baptist Church Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Becky is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lisa B. and Greg Baker of Cary; son and daughter- in-law, Patrick and Machelle Burnette of Fremont; sister, Ruby Eaves of Youngsville; 4 grandchildren, Taylor and Travis Baker, Brittany and Bailey Burnette.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sandy Creek Baptist Church, Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 60, Louisburg, NC 27549.

The family received friends 7 – 8:30 p.m. Monday at Strickland Funeral Home, Louisburg.
