MIDDLESEX - Rudolph Brantley, 85, died Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2011.

Funeral services were conducted Friday, Jan. 21 at Union Hope Baptist Church in Zebulon.

Mr. Brantley was a WWII Veteran, was in the Battle of the Bulge and received three Bronze Stars and a Purple Heart.

Surviving: wife, Claudia Massey Brantley; daughters, Penny Brantlet Bissette (Danny) of Middlesex, Trudy Brantley Bizzell (Lee) of Selma; sons, Rudy Allen Brantley (Beverly) of Zebulon, William Ricky Brantley (Peggy) of Middlesex; three granddaughters; three grandsons; eight great-grandchildren.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be directed to Union Hope Baptist Church, 12712 West NC 97, Zebulon, NC 27597.
