HENDERSON - Ralph Norwood Wynne Sr., 80, of the Epsom Community died Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2011 at his home. Funeral services were held Thursday, Jan. 20, at Liberty Christian Church, conducted by the Rev. Frank Sossamon and the Rev. Robert Wagner. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Born in Franklin County, he was the son of the late Charlie J. Wynne and Lillian Fuller Wynne. He was a retired farmer and a member of Liberty Christian Church, where he formerly served as a deacon.

Surviving: wife, Erma Eaves Wynne; daughter, Gail W. Poythress (James) of Epsom; son, Ralph Norwood Wynne Jr. (Patricia) of Epsom; sister, Jewell W. Seagroves of Louisburg; brothers, Julian Wynne of Swepsonville and Carl J. Wynne (Doris) of Louisburg; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret W. Johnston; and two brothers, Charlie R. Wynne and George W. Wynne.
