ZEBULON - Grady Lanson Morris Jr., 70, died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2011 at Wake Med. Funeral services were held Friday, Feb. 25, at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service chapel, Knightdale. Entombment was in Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Zebulon.

He was born in Scotland Neck to the late Grady Lanson Morris Sr. and Elba Howell Morris. He served in the U.S. Army and retired as a hearing officer with the N. C. Division of Motor Vehicles. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church.

Surviving: wife, Patricia “Patsy” Massey Morris; daughter, Tina M. Feir (Lawrence) of Greensboro; son, Grady Robert Morris (Shannon) of Fuquay-Varina; stepson, William Allison Stancil of Raleigh; three grandchildren; 13 nieces and nephews.
