YOUNGSVILLE - Wiley Gene Chalk, Jr., 52, of Youngsville, NC passed away peacefully in his home on Wednesday, April 6, after a courageous battle with cancer.  Gene was a true craftsman, both as a builder and as a friend.  He will be missed by many.   

 Gene is survived by his wife, Elizabeth, and daughter, Mary; mother, Phyllis Vaughan Chalk; father, Wiley Gene Chalk, Sr.; sister, Melanie Chalk Mattingly; and brothers, Sammy and Kevin Chalk. 

 A memorial celebration of Gene’s life will be held on Sunday, May 29th, at Gene and Elizabeth’s home.
