KNIGHTDALE - Kenneth “Ken” Russell Whidby, 53, died Monday, April 11, 2011 at his residence. A graveside service was held Friday, April 15, at Pine Forest Memorial Gardens.

He was born in Fulton County, Ga., the son of Ruby Shetter Whidby and Leonard Russell Whidby.

Surviving: daughter, Angela Richardson (Phil) of Zebulon; parents, Ruby and Russ Whidby of Raleigh; sister, Vicki Garner of Clayton; brothers, Ron Whidby (Rachel) of Raleigh, Rick Whidby of Youngsville; five nieces and one nephew.
