LOUISBURG - Betty Pearce Rogers, 73, died Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at Rex Hospital. Funeral services were held Friday, May 6, at New Hope Christian Church, with the Rev. Steve Barham officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

She was born in Wake County, daughter of the late Doll Denton Pearce and Clyde Pearce, and was preceded in death by her husband, G. Mackie Rogers; sisters, Ruthie P. Perry and Lois P. Bailey; brothers, Oscar, Arthur, Richard, James, Charles and Oris Pearce.

She was a member of New Hope Christian Church and a homemaker.

Surviving: son, Garry Rogers (Lori) of Louisburg; sister, Alice Faye Rice (David) of Zebulon; brother, Leroy Pearce of Wake Forest; and four granddaughters.
