YOUNGSVILLE – John Hamilton Pryor, 96, of Youngsville, died Monday afternoon.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Louisburg U.M.C. with the Rev. Madison Hankal officiating. Graveside service will follow at 4 p.m. at the Summerville Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Lillington.

He is survived by his wife, Dora Pryor; daughter, Johanne Pryor of Merritt; brother, William H. Pryor of Richmond, Virginia; stepson, Douglas Murray and wife, Gail; grandsons, Austin Murray and wife, Christy; Ryan Murray, all of Louisburg; great-granddaughters, Ashby and Addison Murray; and by several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the home at all times.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Shriners’ Hospitals for Children, 403 East Front Street, New Bern, N.C. 28560.
