LOUISBURG – Elsie Medlin Arnold Bailey, 81, of Louisburg, died Tuesday night. 

Elsie was the daughter of the late John Wesley and Veorah Murray Medlin. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Dumas F. Arnold; grandson, Wallace F. Piper; sister, Ann Pearce; brothers, J.W. Medlin and Pete Medlin.

A graveside service was 1 p.m. Friday at Carolina Memorial Gardens in Creedmoor with Dr. Ron Wallace officiating. The family received friends immediately after the service.

Elsie is survived by her husband, Danny R. Bailey; daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Ronnie Elliott of Zebulon; brothers and sisters-in-law, Johnny and Kay Medlin of Kenly, Larry and Joann Medlin, Ronnie and Debra Medlin, all of Rocky Mount; grandson, Jason T. Piper; great-grandsons, Dillon Piper and Kenneth Piper.

Arrangements are by Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory, Louisburg.
