HOLLISTER - Funeral services for Charles Edward Davis Sr., 62, who died Tuesday, June 28, 2011, will be held Sunday, July 3, at 2 p.m. from Pine Chapel Baptist Church in Hollister, with Pastor Robert Hedgepeth officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

An open visitation will be held Saturday from 3 to 8 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home in Nashville.

Surviving: wife, Cora Silver Davis of the home; daughter, Belinda Davis Richardson of Hollister; son, Charles Edward Davis Jr. of Rocky Mount; sisters, Yolando Kennon of Virginia, Bessie Rice, Kathline Davis and Hazel Davis Silver, all of Hollister, Rachel Evans of Maplewood, N.J., and Velma Mills of Whitakers; brothers, Joshua Lee Davis Jr. of East Orange, N.J., Dennis Davis of Biloxi, Miss., Julius Davis of Hollister and Melvin Davis of Castalia; and six grandchildren.
