BARBARA A. SHEARIN


HENDERSON - Barbara Jean Ayscue Shearin, 70, died Friday, Nov. 3, 2006 at Franklin Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Nov. 7, in the J.M. White Funeral Home Chapel in Henderson by the Rev. Frank Sossamon. Burial followed in Sunset Gardens.

She was born in Vance County, the daughter of the late James Henry Ayscue and Jessie Best Ayscue, and was the widow of Willis A. Shearin. She was retired from the former Jonbil Manufacturing Company.

Surviving: daughters, Kim S. Oliver and Wendy S. DeGard, both of Henderson, and Brandi Shearin of the home; one son, Michael W. Ayscue of Henderson; stepdaughters, Ann S. Elliott, Marie S. Dement and Sandra S. Haines, all of Henderson; stepsons, Robert Shearin and W. A. Shearin, both of Henderson; sisters, Margaret A. Norwich, Beatrice A. Coghill, Mary Jane A. Hill and Doris A. Holloway, all of Henderson; 25 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two grandchildren; two brothers, Joe Ayscue and Hayward Ayscue; and two sisters, Betty A. Pegram and Maxine A. Joyner.
