YOUNGSVILLE —James “Tommy” Murray, 66, died Tuesday morning, Sept. 20, 2011. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, at Harris Chapel Baptist Church with Dr. Bill Haley and the Rev. Shannon Scott officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

He was born in Franklin County, son of the late Geneva Bartholomew Murray and Sidney Thomas Murray, and was preceded in death by his son, Randy Murray. He was a retired firefighter with the City of Raleigh.

Surviving: wife, Sarah Wall Murray; a sister, Jeanette Leonard (R.D.) of Louisburg; many special nieces, nephews and friends.

Friends may visit with the family 6-9 Wednesday evening, Sept. 21, at Bright Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 405 South Main St., Wake Forest.
