FRANKLINTON —Mary Jane Kearney, 70, died Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2011 at Nash General Hospital, Rocky Mount. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church cemetery, Franklinton, with the Rev. Carl Hunter officiating.

Born in Durham County, she was the daughter of the late Vernon Castle and Ruby Scott Castle. She was a longtime member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church.

Surviving: husband, Jimmie Allen Kearney Sr.; daughter, Elizabeth Ray (Lane) of Fanklinton; sons, Jay Moore of Franklinton, Jimmie Allen Kearney Jr. of Centerville, Ricky Morton Kearney of Garner, Ronnie Kearney of Wake Forest; sister, Gracie Parrish of Durham; brothers, Tommy and Jesse Castle, both of Durham; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Becky Ann Moore.
