RALEIGH - James Edward “Eddie” Kelly, 46, of Raleigh, passed away Wednesday morning, December 14, 2011 at Duke-Raleigh Hospital.

A Funeral Service was held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 16, 2011, at Duke Memorial Baptist Church, in Spring Hope, NC. 

Born September 8, 1965 in Henderson, NC, Eddie was the son of the late James Alton Kelly and Gail Earp Kelly.  In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his grandmother, Elizabeth Eubanks.

Eddie is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Gail Kelly; son James Kristopher Kelly; stepson, Cliff Setzer; stepdaughter, Crystal Powell and her husband Linwood H.; grandchildren, Maggie and Clayton Powell; sister, Ruth Ann Stevenson and husband Russell; stepsisters, Wanda Gaither and Patricia Owen; stepbrother, Allen Woodlief; and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of  Eddie to American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA  22312.
