WAKE FOREST - Connie Lee Horton, 85, of High Point, formerly of Wake Forest, died Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012. A memorial service honoring his life will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 19, in the chapel of Bright Funeral Home, Wake Forest, with the Rev. Al Thomas officiating.

He was born in Wake County, the son of the late Mollie Vance Horton and Della Bartow Horton. After graduating from Wake Forest High School, he went on to serve during WWII as a seaman in the U.S. Navy. He retired as an executive for the Pharmaceutical Manufacturer’s Association.

Surviving: son, Dexter Horton (Shirley) of Youngsville; brother, Buddy Horton (Evelyn) of Wake Forest.
