ROBERT M. AYSCUE


FRANKLINTON —Robert Malcolm Ayscue, 87, died Monday, Feb. 20, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, in the chapel of Hall-Wynne Funeral Service, Franklinton Chapel. The Rev. David Averette will officiate and burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery with military honors provided by the American Legion.

A native of Franklin County, he was the son of the late Charles and Ida Ball Ayscue. He was a member of Franklinton Baptist Church, American Legion Post # 52, and a charter member of Franklinton Rescue and EMS. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard.

Surviving: son, Robert “Bob” Ayscue (Joy) of Franklinton; sister, Hattie Lee Moore of Greensboro; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Cooper Ayscue.
