NANNIE LEONARD WRENN
Mrs. Wrenn was an effective role model of Christian love and service for her family and friends. She was an active member of Louisburg Baptist Church where she served in many leadership roles over the years. In 2008, she was awarded the Bessie Shadrack Missions Award. She volunteered within the community for many years, which included her 20-year service to the American Cancer Society. She was on the Cancer Board, Chairman of the Door-to-Door Collection for Franklin County, and a driver for Road to Recovery. Since 2002, she was an active member of the Joseph J. Davis Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy. She was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, James Wrenn; her brothers, Roger Irvin Leonard and H.W. Leonard; and sister, Lena Bell. She is survived by her children, Martha Skeans and husband, Clark of Scottsdale, AZ, Betty Burnette of Louisburg, Gwynda Gould and husband, Tom of Holly Springs, NC, James Wrenn, Jr. and wife, Carlee of Alexandria, VA, and Melanie Armstrong and husband, John of Lincoln, NE; ten grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild; and her sister, Ertie West of Virginia. Lancaster Funeral & Cremation Service is handling arrangements, where the family will receive friends Tuesday, February 21st, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 22nd at 11:00 a.m. at Louisburg Baptist Church, with Dr. Reggie Rushing.
