LOUISBURG – Carl Edward Shearin, Sr., 75, of the Wood Community, died Saturday night.

Carl was a son of the late Ronald Leamon and Ruby Gladys Lewis Shearin and was preceded in death by his brother, Steven Shearin.

Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at Wood Baptist Church with the Rev. Phillip Kissinger officiating. Entombment will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.

Carl is survived by his daughter and son in-law, Carla and Edward Thompson; sons, Eddie Shearin and Jon Shearin; loving grandchildren, Jody and husband Corell, Stephen, Brittini, Dusten and Nicholas.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wood Baptist Church, Louisburg, NC 27549.
