ZEBULON - Samuel Ray Winstead Sr., 58, died at Wake Med on Sunday, May 20, 2012.  Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, at Beulah Christian Baptist Church, 82 Mitchell Mill Road, Zebulon. Burial will follow in the  Beulah Christian Baptist Church cemetery.

Samuel was born in Nash County to the late Leon Winstead and Myrtle Hendricks Winstead.

Surviving: wife, Peggy Lee Winstead; sons:     Samuel Ray Winstead Jr. and Russell Wayne Penny Jr.; daughter,  Peggy Nichole Tripp; sister, Mary Ann Guy; five grandchildren; and one  great-grandson.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the family to help with  expenses, to Peggy Winstead, 108 Arrowhead Drive, Zebulon, NC  27597.
