FRANKLINTON - Lenvert D. Nicholson Sr., 78, died Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2006. Funeral services were conducted Sunday, Dec. 17, at Manasseh Chapel Baptist Church, Franklinton, with the Rev. Samuel T. Tunstall officiating.

He was born in Franklin County. Mr. Nicholson was retired from Baldwin Transportation Company of Bronx, N.Y., following 25 years of service. He was preceded in death by one son, Daryl Nicholson.

Surviving: his wife, Eura Lee Davis Nicholson; daughters, Lillie Yvonne Nicholson of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Cherokee Ledra’ Fleming of Raleigh; sons, Lenvert Dewey Nicholson Jr. (Carol), Gregory Earl Nicholson; two younger children, Michael Lenvert Nicholson and Eulisa Nicholson, all of Queens, N.Y.; sister, Carrie Mae Fields of Atlanta, Ga.; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
